Showcase Training Gone Awry
Serena stood in front of her Delphox, Pancham and Sylveon as she said, “Okay, I think we’re ready for our next Showcase. Pancham, you’ve really gotten better at timing your Ice Punch in our routines. “Cham, Pancham!” Pancham said with a grin. “And Sylveon, your Fairy Wind’s gotten more dazzling! Let’s try adding more dance moves in our next routine to make it really shine!” “Syl, Syl!” Sylveon said with a backflip in the air. “Yeah, just like that! Delphox, I think we need to practice some of your Psychic moves; I feel like they would really wow the audience if we could combine a Psychic with your Mystical Fire. “Del…” Delphox said with a slight hesitation in her force. “Don’t worry; I’ve got an idea,” Serena said as she held up a dark pink crystal on a pendant. “I got this a while back and figured it’d be perfect for you. It’s called a Psychic Gem, and it should help you get control of your Psychic abilities.” Delphox seemed hesitant, but accepted the gem and put it around her

The Anniversary Dinner: Part 1
Stepping through the home he shared with Gary, Ash smiled as he took in the sight of Eevee running through the hallways, chasing one another up and down the stairs and some taking an opportunity to sleep, nestled in corners and hideaway spaces. Gary always liked to bring his work home, though when it came to the care of Pokémon, it was never work. It was joy, excitement and fun. It was the reason Ash loved Gary Oak. Over the years, what had started as a rivalry and antagonising relationship, had developed into respect, friendship, admiration and ultimately, love for one another. They had been dating for five years, their romance having blossomed to the point that neither could nor would deny their feelings towards one another. Five years. Five wonderful years. A relationship that Ash had never looked back on. Going to the living room door, Ash paused as he watched a pair of Eevee chase one another up the stairs to the top floor. Ash chuckled, and opened the door, stepping inside. The

The hotel suite that had been booked for the night was a lavish, luxurious space that took up a fifth of the top floor of the hotel. It had a great living area, a balcony overlooking Celadon City, as well as a master bedroom, ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub big enough for four, and its own separate dining area, though that wouldn’t be used until the morning for breakfast. Ash looked out onto the city, smiling as he rested against the balcony rails. Gary was inside double checking their reservations for both the dinner and the show. This was perfect. The location, the event, the evening. It was the perfect way to celebrate five years of being a couple. Ash wondered what the future held for them both. Ash closed his eyes as he pictured what would happen. He felt the embrace of Gary as his boyfriend wrapped his arms around Ash’s waist. He could feel Gary press against his back, and his arousal. Ash let out a moan of pleasure as he straightened up, his head resting against Gary’s

“I’m so happy you decided to have lunch with me today,” Doctor Fennel said as she sat across from Professor Aurea Juniper at the outdoor restaurant in Striaton City. “I was hoping we could discuss some new breakthroughs I’ve made studying Musharna’s Dream Mist.” “That sounds interesting, Fennel,” Juniper said as she took a sip of tea. “Knowing you, you wouldn’t be bringing up anything unless you’ve weighed the ethical implications of your discovery.” “Yes, and I think I’ve found a way to use it for more practical uses, aside from reviving fossils and studying dreams,” Fennel said excitedly. “Well, don’t keep me in suspense; let me know already!” Juniper said, loving the excited tone her friend was taking. “Well, actually, Amanita’s still doing some last minute research to make sure most of my theorized uses for it are even plausible. However, she should be done momentarily, and I can regale you of everything I have planned with it.” “You said “most,” so there’s at least one thing

From Silver Screen to You...in the Name of Science
Meyer, Bonnie, Blaziken and Dedenne looked in amusement as Clemont hauled his latest invention into the center of the gym. A tarp covered the invention from their sight as Clemont announced, “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen! The future is now thanks to the power of science! Behold, the latest in entertainment technology!” With a flourish, Clemont threw off the tarp and unveiled his invention. It sported a disk that looked like a Heliolisk’s frills fully open, a long neck similar to an Aurorus and stood on legs resembling a Girafarig’s. “I call it the Theatrical-Project-O-Tron 3000! Bonnie looked at the new invention in amazement while Meyer kept a smile on his face and asked, “Aren’t there already projectors out there, Son?” “Not like this, there aren’t!” Clemont said with a confident tone while adjusting his glasses. “Those other projectors need a wall or a screen in order to show the picture. Meanwhile, my Theatrical-Project-O-Tron 3000 can show pictures no matter where you

Giovanni's Rise 1 - An Alpha Unown Alt Story Prize
Several rings surrounded the Princesses, teleporting them to the audience chamber of the Abyssal Ruins. There, they were confronted by Giovanni, a smug smirk on his face. To his left sat Xerosic, typing away at a computer. To his left stood Lovrina, a determined scowl on her face as she held a Poké Ball in her hand. “It’s an honor to have all the Princesses here with me today as I claim victory over the world,” Giovanni said as he stood and walked toward the group. “Pretty gutsy of you to face us without any backup!” Princess Nemona declared as she readied a Poké Ball. “Must we resort to violence? I was hoping we could talk things out.” “There’s nothing to talk out,” Princess Hilda declared. “You’ve launched an attack on the entire world; and we’re here to stop you!” “What did you do to our heroines?” Princess Misty asked. “They’re preoccupied,” Giovanni said, pointing to a monitor. Everyone saw the Heroines of each region being attacked by Essentia, Mewtwo, Hoopa and J. “So

“Ugh…what was that…” Misty groaned as she picked herself up off the ground. She looked around and saw herself in a forested area, with city lights in the distance signaling a destination she could go to whenever she felt like leaving. A migraine racked her head as she tried to remember what had happened. “What happened…I…I remember…a blue light…and a haughty laugh…Jessie!” Misty suddenly remembered she was engaging Jessie in a Pokémon battle in order to buy time for Ash and Pikachu to escape to Viridian City. During the battle, Jessie had called out a Smeargle from one of the Poké Balls Team Rocket had provided her. As she was about to command Gyarados to finish the battle, Smeargle’s tail emitted a faint blue light, disorienting her immediately. Before she could get her bearings, she felt a blow to the back of her neck, causing her to black out. Misty got up and began to look around as police sirens began blaring in the area. Looking behind her, she saw Officer Jenny and her

Prize: Shiny Heart Swap - Sonia and Yamper
A drop of water fell on Yamper’s nose as he followed Sonia through Galar Mine No. 2. The Puppy Pokémon sneezed at the contact and began rubbing his nose on Sonia’s leg, causing the woman to giggle and pick him up. “Aw, did some water get on your nose, Yamper?” “Yam, Yamper!” Yamper barked before licking her face. Again, Sonia giggled and put him down, saying, “Well, we just need to investigate a peculiar energy reading from this area. After that, we can head on home and dry you off with a nice towel and some fresh Pokémon food. How’s that sound?” Yamper barked in glee as he began jumping all around Sonia, his tail wagging behind him all the while. “Attaboy!” Before the journey could continue any further, a Drednaw approached the two and roared, startling Sonia. Yamper, however, got in front of the Drednaw and crackled with electricity. Despite its earlier intimidation, the wild Drednaw retreated further into the mine without any further prodding. “Sometimes I forget how

Kara Zor-El, better known by her alias Supergirl, plopped down on a chair on the porch of the Kent Family home in Smallville. “Finally, a chance to relax. After two months of going out on missions all over the world, I’m looking forward to a little vacation.” “You and me both, sister.” Kara shot up and stared at the small man sitting next to her, wearing a tank top, swimming trunks, sunglasses, a lei around his neck and drinking from a coconut with a straw in it. “Mxyzptlk!” “That’s MR. Mxyzptlk; just because we’re on vacation doesn’t mean you can’t have manners,” Mr. Mxyzptlk said as he slurped the last of his drink and snapped it away. “What mischief are you up to this time?!” Kara asked, not dropping her battle stance. “Just take it easy, will you?” Mxyzptlk said as he snapped himself into his normal attire. Adjusting the hat on his head, he approached Kara and said, “I’m here to offer you a vacation, that’s all!” “I’m not interested in anything you have to offer!” “Hear me

Class Assignment: Who To Know
“Bonjour, everyone!” “Bonjour, Mr. Salvatore!” “I know today is supposed to continue our lessons in how to express our emotions in different languages, but today I thought I’d do something different. I’ll be sharing this special video just for you! S’il te plaît, feast your eyes on this wonderful video one of our most brilliant students has produced!” With the class enthralled, Salvatore pressed play on the video and went back to his desk. As the light dimmed, the screen turned on to reveal a shorter young man with thick glasses wearing the Uva Academy uniform. “The world of Pokémon is vast and expansive. Although it is important to know all about the Pokémon we share this planet with, it’s also important to know about the people who are there to help you when you need some help. Let’s be honest, nobody can get through life on their own, and that especially holds true for Pokémon journeys. “Starting out, it can seem hard to know where help can be and in what forms it can take.
